Come Join The Northwestern Singers!

Do you love to sing? If you do and have music reading ability, then we would invite you to join us!

With much diversity of style and presentation, the Northwestern Singers shows are a wonderful variety of song and dance with something to please anyone. In existence 50 years in 2003, the group originally consisted of men only. They were organized under the Association of Male Choruses of America. In 1971, women were added to the group and the repertoire and performances have expanded to include most styles of music from country to jazz; showtunes to gospel, to please a variety of audiences.

The Northwestern Singers is now an independent non-profit organization. In addition to presenting a major show production each January, the Northwestern Singers also present a concert each spring, perform for Lenten services for area churches and provide other holiday entertainment for local organizations. They also hold a silent auction/benefit concert in November. The profits from that event are shared 50/50 with the Austin school music programs and other youth choirs who perform in the concert. Since 2002, over $15,000 has been donated to youth music programs by the Northwestern Singers.

Rehersals are held on Mondays, starting at 7:00 pm in the fellowship hall of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin from September through May.
