Northwestern Singers Begin Practice for 2005-06 Season

Practice for the 2005-2006 season began on September 5th with about 35 members attending. A few new members were in attendance. The theme for the winter show will be "Variety Showcase". Many great arrangements were handed-out to members including music from the Ed Sullivan Show and the Lawrence Welk Show.

Austin Mayor Rietz Signs Declaration

Austin Mayor Bonnie Rietz signed a declaration on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 declaring the days of May 2nd and 3rd, 2003, "Northwestern Singers Days" in Austin. The declaration was made to help celebrate the singers 50th anniversary. NWS Board President Dr. Rick Young, left, and Reunion Coordinator Harlan Nelson, right, attended. Mayor Rietz also read the declaration during the reunion concert on May 3rd.
